and yes the "story" is all the same everytime, even between the different types of peoples, one of the things that I personally wish they'd developed more. Replayability? I think its good, if you dont mind the hiccups and the design, but there is some creativity frustrations which i wish could be fixed, or maybe im just not great at the custom building functions. and maybe im slow at it, thats also if it all goes perfectly. there are also many ways around it, so essentially if getting to end game quickly is your goal, then selling alot of your belongings, and getting a hearthling for everyclass is key and can take what i had in my experience probably no more than 15 hours. nothing really happens, the enemies cap out in difficulty, and your hearthlings get stronger and steam roll the enemy. Once the monument is built, as far as im aware, thats it. As you may know to get more hearthlings you need to expand your available gold, food, and happiness i think are the three factors (been a few months since I played) but basically if you increase those things then what happens is the game adds one more, obviously the requirements go down if you lose one, but in general, new hearthlings are easy enough to obtain, then once you have enough for almost all the classes and upgrades, theres some end- shrines you can build once you get far enough and expanded enough, to build the items takes many different rare things to craft which you then use as ingredients to make on big monument. you may find it very enjoyable, but there will be a point at which you find you've got nothing else to do, except build.Īs far as end game goes, that depends on which mode and how many hearthlings your computer can handle. In my honest opinion, dont play this with the intention of having a smooth ride, if you want to play it long term with lots of hearthlings and combat and custom buildings, if your playing casual, low numbers, simple buildings, etc. I think that the controls for building and especially custom building are not incredibly intuitive, but thats my opinion, and Ive still owned and played the game a few times over the course of a few years. yes you can play with fewer hearthlings and you can even play on peaceful mode so theres no enemies, but as long as thats what you wanted out of the game thats fine. No they generally havent fixed the most prevalent ones, imo.
